The Neighbourhood Alert messaging system enables residents, businesses and community groups to keep in touch with local policing teams. You can choose to receive updates on crimes, latest information on on-going incidents and learn more about what events are being planned in your area. You can also respond to messages to ask questions or give feedback to your local policing team.

You're invited to sign up and become a registered recipient of messages relevant to the area where you live or work.

We also offer you the opportunity to choose the type of messages you wish to receive.

Priority Action taken

The new priorities for this period (October 2025 to March 2026) are:
• ASB motorcycle nuisance
• Road safety and road traffic offences
• Drug dealing and drug misuse

Our priorities are set for a six month period and reviewed every three months to ensure we continue to deal with what matters most to local people, taking account of feedback shared in our local priorities survey and local crime data.

ASB nuisance motorcycles

Here’s an update on our work to tackle burglary, which was a local priority from April to September 2025:
• As part of an initiative to help prevention burglary, we’ve issued 39 doorbell cameras and 12 solar lights to local residents.
• Our PCSOs have visited every burglary victim to provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice.

Drug Dealing & Drug Misuse

Here’s an update on our work to tackle drug dealing and misuse, which was a local priority from April to September 2025:
• Seven cannabis factories have been located and are currently under investigation.
• Fifteen people have been arrested in connection with drugs offences following information received from the public, and officers also carried out a number of stop searched on people suspected of drug related offences.
• Officers have carried out regular checks at the addresses of those identified as being vulnerable to being exploited by drug dealers (known as cuckooing).

Road Safety & Traffic Offences

Here’s an update on our work to deal with road safety and traffic offences, which were a local priority from April to September 2025:
• We continue to run Operation Pacify which is our initiative focusing on tackling the anti-social riding of motorcycles, and during the past six months, three bikes have been seized.
• Officers issued seven postal charges for road traffic offences, carried out speed enforcement in Oakley Vale and Great Oakey, as well as regular patrols around schools in relation to parking issues.
