Burglary - Crime Prevention Advice |
||
|
With the approach of British Summer Time, we often see a rise in shed an garage break-ins at this time of the year. Offenders typically look for items such as garden tools, lawn mowers, power tools, fishing equipment, and other high-value belongings that are commonly stored in outbuildings.
We'd like to encourage residents to stay mindful and take simple steps to keep their property secure. Making sure sheds and garages are locked - and ideally alarmed - can make a big difference. Try not to leave garage doors open longer than necessary, especially if they face a public area, and keep an eye out for anything that feels out of place in your neighbourhood.
If something doesn't seem ‘right’, we recommend reporting it, either through our online reporting system of by calling 101 and of course, if you witness a crime in progress or someone in immediate danger - please call 999.
Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.
