Update following Police Surgery today

Good evening, 

Today I held a Police Surgery next to the green area on Oakpits Way. Turnout was positive, and it was good to speak with residents about the issues in the area. The main issues raised were the green areas and alleyways on Oakpits Way, Kendall Close and Walmer Close, and the lack of Police presence in the area. 

On the first point, I will be liaising with colleagues from North Northamptonshire Council on how the green areas and alleyways can be hardened against motorbikes to stop them from accessing these areas, and to prevent any Unauthorised Travelling Encampments on the green spaces. 

On the second point, I take this on board and apologise for the lack of presence. I will endeavour to increase the time I spend in the area around other commitments, so I hope you will soon be seeing more of me and my colleagues. 

Thank you to everyone who attended. I have booked in some further surgeries in the same location on 20th April at 1830 and 26th July at 1800, so I can give feedback on the progress being made.
