Ice danger - Weather Warning

Dear residents 

We are in the midst of a very cold snap which is creating lots of Ice, not only on the roads but bodies of water everywhere, This water can be tempting especially for children.

Over the last 24 hours Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue service have attended a worrying number of incidents whereby children have been playing or walking on frozen lakes across the county.

The dangers of this are very real and pose a massive risk to life. Not only to those that are playing on the ice, but also to those that try to help them when things go wrong.

Please speak to all younger family members and friends and help push this very important message to help keep every safe.

Any one spotted playing on the Ice, please call 999 immediately as an emergency, and do not put yourself in danger.
