What can PCSO's do?

A PCSO holds a vital role that is very different to a Police Officer. They are civilian staff members that proactively work as part of our Neighbourhood Policing Teams, helping to build and maintain community relationships by being a visible police presence. As such, a PCSO does not have the same set of powers as a Police Officer or Special Constable.

They can:

  • Deal with anti-social behaviour and minor crimes

  • Use limited powers, for example requesting the name and address of someone acting in an anti-social manner

  • Provide crime prevention and personal safety advice

  • Provide support to Police Officers when needed

  • You can find out more information about the Police in your area, including dates of community surgeries, and Beat Bus visits at Your area | Northamptonshire Police.

Your local PCSO's are, Chris Dudley, Emma Teagles & Matt Taylor, please feel free to contact us, you can either report online on our website, email us NeighbourhoodTeamSouthNorthantsTowcester@northants.police.uk, or call 101.

Remember 999 is reserved for emergencies.
